Residing in the affluent leafy suburb of Childwall, Liverpool since January 2003, award winning North Western British Hairdresser of the Year (2000/01) Matt Cox and his talented team moved yards away to the sunnier side of Woolton Road in January 2011.  Nestled in between Abaca health store and local celeb haunt, Neighbourhood, with stunning interiors and glowing accolades, the grass is most definitely greener.

Boasting a talented, creative and uber friendly team, Matt Cox offers the ultimate hair, beauty and makeup experience.

Born and raised in Cornwall, Matt moved to Liverpool in July 1995 to pursue a career with International Ambassador of the Hairdressing Industry, Andrew Collinge. Here Matt worked his way up the ranks, from Artistic Team Leader to International Creative Director, before leaving the Collinge group to launch the Matt Cox brand in 2003. During his service with Andrew Collinge, Matt was nominated three years consecutively for the prestigious North Western British Hairdresser of the Year award, winning this celebrated title in 2000/01.

A husband and wife team, Matt’s wife Karen provides business support to the salon. They both have two beautiful daughters to perhaps take over the scissors one day!
